Our story

A runner that earns its keep.

Hands inspecting a handwoven wool runner

The Runner Warehouse started in a renovated farmhouse with a creaky staircase and a stubborn idea: stair runners shouldn't be the afterthought of a renovation. They should be the thing you notice — and the thing that lasts.

We work with a small group of weavers who still use traditional pedal looms. Our wool comes from sheep raised on open pasture, spun into a long-staple yarn that holds its shape under daily traffic. Where we can, we use plant-based dyes — madder, walnut hull, indigo — the same palette people have been wearing under their feet for centuries.

Every runner is cut to your stairs. No off-cuts shipped to you, no awkward seams, no off-the-rack guesswork. Just a measured, made piece that softens every step from day one.
